On Island Asset Management (OIAM) focuses on small and mid-cap growth stocks, but also considers other equities that are trending strongly and driven by organic growth. Rather than focusing on specific valuation models and economic forecasts, OIAM studies trading patterns in specific stocks and takes advantage of established momentum to generate superior returns. We aim to own companies in their sweet spots, when investors are recognizing and rewarding them for exceptional performance in both revenue and earnings.
By blending a simple focus on long-term business and leverage cycles with short-term technical trading patterns, OIAM offers a unique approach to the markets, unfettered by the day's current news and financial debates. We strive to be long-only, but promptly hedge our exposure when the market calls for it in order to protect your capital from large and sustained losses.
